Ground (Logic 0) in Logisim
Schematic three-bar ground symbol that supplies a permanent logic Low (all 0s) to a wire or bus.

| Type name | Ground |
| Pins and defaults | out0, width 1..32, facing north |
How the Ground (0) Works in Logisim
The Ground component draws the standard three-bar schematic ground symbol (GND / Vss) and drives a constant logic Low (0) onto its pin. Its connection pin faces north at (0, 0) by default so it attaches naturally below vertical reset or carry-in pins.
Use Ground to tie unused asynchronous Reset (RST) pins Low on flip-flops, registers, and counters, or to hold the Carry-In (cin) of an Adder at 0 when performing simple A + B addition.
Tip: Tie unused flip-flop RST pins and Adder cin pins to Ground so their state is explicitly 0.
Ground (0) Pins & Pinout
| Pin | Direction | Width | Location & Role |
|---|---|---|---|
| out0 (Ground) | Output | 1–32 bits | Located at (0, 0), facing north by default. Outputs logic Low (0 on every bit). |
